The Toodyay Herald is a free monthly newspaper published and owned by a not-for-profit incorporated association – The Toodyay Herald Inc. The newspaper aims to serve Toodyay and surrounding districts as a quality source of local news and advertising.

It prints 4,500 copies each month (except in January), and is available in post office boxes, at newsstands and businesses throughout the district including Morangup, Bolgart, Calingiri, Northam, Clackline, Bakers Hill, Gidgegannup, Wundowie, Wooroloo and surrounding districts.  

 The Herald is staffed by volunteers and operates as an independent local news outlet bound by the media industry code of conduct. All proceeds are required by law to be reinvested in producing a quality newspaper for the local community. The Toodyay Herald is also available online.

The Toodyay Herald welcomes contributions of letters, articles and photographs from all members of the community. Deadlines for the next edition are listed here
